                                                 City of Essaouira

Essaouira is in the middle of  Morocco near the atlantic ocean, It's a fisher-men city. It's a beautiful touristic city, but not like Marrackech or Agadir. Around Essaouira there are a lot of little islands, and when we are on the beach, we can see one island with an old castle and walls along the sea. It house a lot of surfer and windsurfer, because there is always wind in Essaouira, and it's very good for learn windesurf, surf and kitesurf, because there have " U.C.P.A". It's very nice !

Essaouira is a fortified city of the end of the 18th century. The Medina is surrounded by a huge wall. It plays the role during centuries of the international commercial harbour connecting Morocco, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Europe and the rest of the world. The city is an example of multicultural center. It has natural sites that have a big value. The Medina has kept his history's and traditions' wealth. In the south of the Medina the square Moulay Hassan has nice terraces and shops. In the middle of the Medina, his lively alleys uncork to markets (souk), restaurants, art galleries and a lot of small activities.

Once you have crossed the place, you arrive in front of the rampart and the ocean.
